There is so much to like about 'The Final Reckoning,' but this is the one thing that truly makes the last 'Mission: Impossible' (maybe) an instant classic.
All good thanks Steve. You doing ok? Agree wholeheartedly with your article on MI, or is it M:I-TFR? That use of punctuation is just greedy. The movie was relentless in its pursuit to make us feel the tension, and it succeeded spectacularly. When I left the cinema, I was completely wrung out! Don’t think I was breathing properly for like 2 hours. The only thing more terrifying than the entity is the shiny side of a bagel after it’s been in the toaster, and that’s saying something. On a side note, great job on the Schindler’s List episode. Powerful and well handled, especially considering the contentious times we live in. Always a pleasure to then juxtapose that by dipping into an old episode about Double Team. It’s the full spectrum of emotions!!
I really appreciate that Donal, thank you! I love that you went with Double Team as your chaser to the more heavy material. We try to cover all our bases with the show, you know? Everything is good over here as well! Just always trying to find some new ways to grow the show - I really need to get that call-in line going and start doing some video.
I’m sure it’s hard to add more elements to the show when you’re trying to fit it into the normal craziness of work and family life. The call-in line sounds good if you can keep it simple and low maintenance. Like maybe you could set up a WhatsApp number where we people can leave a a voice message or something like that? Or perhaps an email address would work the same for sending a voice memo, and people could also send in pics of 90s movie memorabilia or props or ticket stubs or things like that. Just a word of warning, if someone sends any pics of things they’ve collected from Se7en, maybe don’t open the box??
Preach!
Hey Donal! How are you?
